Gold Mine Tours

Newmont Mining Corporation offers public tours on the second Thursday of the month, April through October. Tours begin at 9 a.m. at the Northeastern Nevada Museum on Idaho Street, where participants view a video about Newmont.

A van, bus or explorer then transports visitors to the mine where they are shown an open pit, heap leach and process facilities.

Children 12 to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Young adults between the ages of 16 to 18 years must have a waiver signed by the parents.

All participants are required to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for tour. Sandals, shorts and tank tops are not allowed on the mine site.
